The Application Store Bandwagon, Blackberry hops on!

RIM has just announced their answer to the iTunes App Store and the Android App Market.  CrunchGear reported earlier that they are calling it “The Application Center”. I don’t know what the rest of these platforms are going to do for a title because we’re definitely running short on names.  One interesting thing they have noted is that the applications will be stored by the individual carrier.  This means that your carrier ultimately decides on what apps to offer or if you can even have access to the apps.

Update: A new startup is already challenging RIM with th BerryStore!  Cool! haha TechCrunch Article
