BlackBerry Pearl Flip

Just when you think that the world is finished with clamshell “flip” phones, Blackberry puts its popular Pearl in this unpopular design. Well, it’s popular among the average cell phone user… possibly because of the annoying clicking sound that it makes when you close it. I’m not going to generalize and say that the average iPhone or Blackberry user isn’t annoying with their phone. It is annoying to see someone pulling their phone out of pocket every two minutes just to make sure that everyone around them see that they own a super “smart” phone. Why get a Blackberry Flip when you can have the new Storm? The Blackberry Storm looks like a cool competitor for the iPhone, and I’ve seen Mac OSX Leopard running on a Blackberry before!
Is this just a reason to broaden sales to those who actually love those crappy Motorola Razr’s? I think so. The clamshell should have gone the way of the dinosaur. PLEASE STOP OPENING AND SHUTTING YOUR PHONE FOR NO APPARENT REASON ALREADY!
